DIY Nursery and Classroom Art

Nordic Alphabet is the perfect Mesh stencil to create ART for a Nursery or grade school classroom. Join Kerri from Mama Dares to DIY as she shows you how adorable and easy it can be to make your own decor!

Products Needed:
Additional Products Used:
  • Watercolor paper
  • Squeegee
  • Mixing cup
  • Small paint brushes
  • Picture frame
Step One
Peel mesh stencil and line it up with the water color paper. Peel the Nordic Alphabet Mesh Stencil off of its backing. Rub stencil to make sure it adheres properly. Take your squeegee and scoop up some of the Preaching To The Choir Chalk Art with your squeegee. Then run the chalk art with the squeegee over the mesh stencil until you have covered the entire stencil with Chalk Art. Remove the Mesh Stencil from Water Color Paper. Once fully removed, immediately wash with warm water and mild soap or put into a bath of water to soak. Once all of the paint is washed off of the stencil, lay it adhesive side up to air dry.

Step Two
Once the Chalk Art had dried, take a mixing cup and put some water in it. Then add a little bit of the Spring In My Step Chalk Art (or your color of choice) to the water to turn the paste into watercolor. Mix it up. With a small brush, dip it into the watercolor and color in as much of the design as you would like.

Step Three
Once you are finished and the paint has dried, put your design into a picture frame and now it is ready to hang or to give as a gift!

We hope you enjoyed this fun craft as much as we did! Don't forget to share and tag us in your creations!
