Gilded Mandala Cards Kit

Bless your friends and family with these elegant handmade cards!  Create gorgeous detail and shine by simply placing our mesh stencil on the cards, apply the Gilding Size, then lay Gold Leaf down burnishing and then, and viola!

Products in Kit:

• 8 Flat Card
• 8 Envelopes
• Mesh Stencil – Mandala
• Gilding Size
• Imitation Gold Leaf
• Foam Dome Brush
• Chip Brush

Instructions:

1. Begin by placing four of the cards lined up into a rectangle. Make sure they are on a surface that can be discarded once done.  Place the Mandala Stencil centered in the rectangle of cards.  It doesn’t have to be perfect.
2. Then load and offload your Foam Dome Brush with the Gilding Size using an up down motion. Next, use that same up down motion to apply the Size to your stencil, moving very quickly.
3. Once done, quickly but very carefully remove the stencil and wash in lukewarm water.
4. Once the size has come to tack (it will appear translucent) you can apply the Gold Leaf. Holding the spine with one hand, pull back the tissue with the other hand and lay the leaf down covering the area with size.
5. After burnishing (pressing and rubbing down firmly) lift leaf packet up and continue the process until entire area with size is covered. Then, using the Chip Brush, remove the excess Gold Leaf.
6. Repeat the steps on the envelopes for added detail and shine.
